The topic/file name entered during topic/file creation is how you will identify the forum in the Disqus interface. Make sure this name is contextual to the forum and that it is unique. |
Disqus Interface
Setting up Org Admins and Site Moderator Accounts
Org Admins
- Go to the Disqus login page: https://disqus.com/profile/login/
- Log in using the credentials provided to you by your SellPro administrator
- Click on "Admin" left of Profile Picture in
- Click on "Settings" tab
- Click on the site under "Give your site an Organization name"
- In left column, Click on "Admins"
- Add the username to the page, then click "Add Admin"
Site Moderator
- Go to the Disqus login page: https://disqus.com/profile/login/
- Log in using the credentials provided to you by your SellPro administrator
- Click on "Admin" left of Profile Picture in
- Click on "Community" tab, located on the top of the screen (not to be confused with the one on the left side)
- In left column, click on "Moderators"
- Click on the site under "Give your site an Organization name"
- Add the username to the page, then click "Add"
- Choose Site Moderator permissions:
- Can change settings
- Can edit comments

General Settings
- Comment Policy URL - dedicated comment policy (will display above forum)
- Comment Policy Summary - summary of policy will display above forum
- Example: "We welcome relevant and respectful comments . Off-topic comments may be removed"
- Disqus Branding - Show Disqus logo and "Add Disqus to your site" text in comments area
- On (do NOT select this option)
- Off (required setting)
- Default Commenter Avatar
- Use Default
- Commenters who haven't selected an avatar picture will have their comments displayed with the default avatar
- Note: To set your own admin avatar, go to your profile settings
Community Settings
(Admin > Settings > Community)
- Pre-moderation
- None - Comments don't need to be approved before they are published
- All - Moderators must approve all comments
- Moderator Badge Text - Text badge that shows next to all moderator's names
- Example: SellPro Rep
- Default Sort - Choose the default sort order for comments
- Best First - sorts comments statistically based on votes
- Newest First
- Oldest First
- Media Attachments
- Enable media attachments (this is currently not supported, leave this option un-selected - required setting)
- Flagged Comments
- Email moderators when post is flagged
- Hide comment after x flags (users can flag comments)
